Business Process Modeling - Methods, Tools and Application

Today's business enterprises must deal with global competition. To analyze the current state, and to enable reengineering, business processes must properly be modeled. A business process model must have an intuitive representation and techniques are required to derive decisive properties from the model. The tutorial presents a number of typical Petri net based and shows how to analyze them by help of software tools. The tutorial emphasizes cross-organizational business processes.
